SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and barcodes are essential for retail, fulfilment, and inventory management. Goose Commerce supports both on every product and variation.
Each product and product variation has a dedicated SKU field in the Inventory panel. SKUs must be unique across your catalogue. Goose Commerce will flag duplicates if you attempt to save a SKU already in use.
In addition to SKU, you can store a Barcode (EAN, UPC, ISBN, or custom) per product and variation. This is stored separately from the SKU and can be used with the Product Barcode Elementor widget to display scannable barcodes on your product pages.
From Goose → Products, use the search bar to find products by SKU or barcode. This is particularly useful for large catalogues and supports partial matches.
SKUs and barcodes are fully supported in Goose Commerce CSV import and export. Include sku and barcode columns in your import file to set these values in bulk.
