Customer Notifications

Automated emails that keep your customers informed at every step.

Goose Commerce sends automated email notifications to customers as their order progresses. Each notification is triggered by an order status change and uses a customisable template.

Default Notifications

Out of the box, Goose Commerce sends emails for: New Order Confirmation, Order Processing, Order Shipped (with tracking if provided), Order Completed, Order Cancelled, and Refund Issued. Admin notifications are also sent for new orders and cancellations.

Customising Templates

Edit notification email templates from Goose → Settings → Email. Each template can have its own subject line, header, body copy, and footer. Templates support placeholder variables such as {{customer_name}}, {{order_number}}, and {{tracking_number}}.

Enabling & Disabling Notifications

Each email type can be individually enabled or disabled. For example, if you want to suppress the Order Processing email and only send the Shipped email, you can disable Processing emails from the email settings panel.

Manual Notifications

You can manually trigger a notification resend from the order detail screen. This is useful if a customer did not receive their confirmation email or if you need to resend shipping details.
