Create and manage discount codes to drive sales and reward customers.
Goose Commerce includes a full discount code system. Create percentage discounts, fixed amount reductions, or free shipping vouchers — with full control over usage limits, expiry dates, and eligibility rules.
Navigate to Goose → Settings → Marketing & Promotions → Discount Codes and click Add New. Enter a code (or generate one automatically), choose the discount type, and set the amount. Save to make the code available immediately.
Percentage Discount — Reduces the order total by a percentage (e.g. 20% off).
Fixed Amount — Deducts a specific amount (e.g. £10 off).
Free Shipping — Waives the shipping cost on the order.
Discounts can be applied to the entire order or to specific products or categories.
Set a Usage Limit to cap how many times a code can be used in total. Set a Per Customer Limit to cap how many times a single customer can use the code. Set an Expiry Date after which the code is automatically disabled.
Require a minimum cart total before a discount code can be applied. For example, offer 15% off orders over £50. The minimum is checked at checkout and the code is rejected with a clear message if the cart value is too low.
