Populate your store with sample data to test your setup before going live.
Goose Commerce includes tools to generate sample products, orders, and customers so you can test your store’s appearance and functionality without having to manually create data.
Navigate to Goose → Tools → Test Data and click Generate Sample Data. Goose Commerce creates a set of sample products across multiple categories, a set of sample orders in various statuses, and a set of sample customer accounts.
The sample data generator creates: 20 sample products (simple and variable, including some with images), 10 sample orders in a mix of statuses, 5 sample customer accounts with addresses and order history, and sample reviews on several products.
Use the generated data to: preview how your product grid and catalogue pages look with real content, test checkout flows with sample products, verify that email notifications work correctly, and check that Elementor widgets display data as expected.
When you’re ready to go live, click Clear Test Data from Goose → Tools → Test Data. This permanently removes all sample products, orders, and customers created by the generator. This action cannot be undone — back up your database first if you want to retain any test records.
