MCP Integration

Goose Commerce ships with a built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint, letting AI assistants like Claude interact directly with your store — managing products, orders, customers, and inventory through natural conversation.

Full setup documentation is being developed for our soft launch. Below is the quick-start summary.

What MCP gives you

• Resources — read product catalog, orders, customers, inventory
• Tools — search products, manage cart, create orders, update inventory
• Prompts — recommendations, order summaries, inventory alerts, customer service

Quick start

1. In WordPress admin, open Goose Commerce → Settings → AI Integration.
2. Generate an API key and copy the MCP endpoint URL.
3. Add it as an MCP server in Claude Desktop (or any MCP-compatible AI client).
4. Start chatting with your store.

Important: keep authentication enabled in production. Only disable for local development.
