Google Merchant Feed

The Goose Commerce Google Merchant Feed generates a product data feed that meets Google’s specifications. Keep your Shopping Ads up to date automatically as you add, edit, or remove products.

Enabling the Feed

Navigate to Goose → Settings → Marketing & Promotions → Google Merchant Feed and enable the feed. A feed URL is generated that you submit to Google Merchant Center. Google fetches the feed on a regular schedule to keep your listings current.

Feed Contents

The feed includes all published products with: Product ID, Title, Description, Image URL, Product URL, Price, Sale Price (if set), Availability (in stock / out of stock), Brand, GTIN (if barcode is set), and MPN (if SKU is set). All required Google fields are populated automatically.

Category Mapping

Google requires products to be categorised using Google Product Taxonomy. Map your Goose Commerce categories to Google taxonomy categories from the feed settings to ensure correct classification in Shopping results.

Feed Refresh Frequency

The feed is regenerated automatically whenever a product is saved or stock changes. You can also manually trigger a refresh from the feed settings page. Google Merchant Center typically fetches the feed every 24 hours.
