Define shipping zones and rates for every market you sell to.
Goose Commerce gives you full control over shipping costs with a flexible zone-and-rate system. Create zones based on geography, then define one or more shipping rates within each zone.
A shipping zone is a geographical area with its own set of rates. Navigate to Goose → Settings → Shipping to create zones. Each zone can target specific countries, states, or postcode ranges. A customer’s shipping address determines which zone they fall into at checkout.
Within each zone you can create multiple rate types:
Flat Rate — A fixed shipping cost.
Free Shipping — No charge, optionally triggered by a minimum order value or coupon code.
Weight-Based — Cost calculated from the total order weight.
Price-Based — Cost calculated from the order subtotal.
You can offer multiple shipping options within a single zone — for example, Standard (£3.95) and Express (£8.95) for UK customers. Customers choose their preferred option at checkout from the rates available for their zone.
Create a Rest of World zone as a fallback for customers whose address does not match any specific zone. You can choose to offer rates, or no rates (blocking checkout for those locations).
